Addy Tritt, originally from Hays, recently purchased the last 204 pairs of shoes available from a failing local Payless store and gave them to victims affected by the record Nebraska River flood.

"I have been so blessed," said Tritt at the Hutch Post. "There have been so many great people in my life who inspired me. I see so many horrible things in the news. So many people helped me when I was down, I want to help if I can. "

Tritt bought the shoes for $ 100 and donated them to the sorority of the University of Fort Hays State University, Sigma Alpha.
