ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – An 11-year-old boy from Brazil, who had his foot and leg crushed at the end of the summer, was sued. Adventure ride at Universal Studios in Orlando.

reports

The boy's mother, Roberta Perez, sued the Orange County Court of Justice and claimed at least $ 15,000 in damages.

Lawyer Edmund Normand said that it appeared that Tiago Perez's left foot was stuck between the carousel's vehicle and the cement unloading area, breaking him several bones of the toes, foot and the leg.

The lawsuit claims that Universal knew that "the design, manufacture, testing, construction and / or operation" of the carousel "created an unreasonably dangerous ride".

The complaint indicated that the child did not speak English and could not read any warning sign during his visit to the amusement park on January 31st.

Universal declined to comment.
