A mother from Leesburg threatened with death after a viral video shows that she is holding a child's head in the toilet

A local mother faces death threats after a video has been broadcast on social media.

The video shows Leesburg's wife holding her young son upside down in the restroom.

The woman said that the video is not what it seems to be.

"It was only a joke," said Kaitlyn Wolf.

Wolf said that she did not know that a video of her sticking her son's head in the toilet would spark reaction.

"They threatened to kill me, murder me, push my head in the bathroom, bury me half, cut off my head," Wolf said.

It started last week, when Wolf said he played a joke, giving his 3 year old son what she calls a "whirlwind" in the restroom.

In the video, we hear the child screaming, but his mother said that he was not screaming, but laughing.

"It was just a joke." Everyone is like "beuh." His face was not wet. This is not a dirty toilet. He was not tortured in any way, "Wolf said.

The Leesburg Police Department and the State of Florida do not laugh; both initiated investigations into the issue.

Wolf said that his 10-year-old son had filmed the video. She said she sent the video to an old friend, and this former friend sent the video to another woman, who posted it on Facebook.

"I would never do it again, I would never want this explosion of hate," said Wolf.

Wolf said that his 3 year old son was well and healthy.
