IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) – The Yellowstone Training Center just opened on Yellowstone Avenue as part of the College of Eastern Idaho. The college will house its cybersecurity program and workforce training program.

The cybersecurity program started as the year 2020 and the workforce training system was extended in 2019. Cybersecurity courses include installation of computer hardware and software, security, design of systems, etc.

The college received the building grant a year ago after renting a room from the Boy Scouts of America, who are still located in another part of the building. It took a year of renovation to fully open the new place.

The school is expected to expand this program quickly, as the number of cybersecurity jobs is also growing rapidly. The workforce training program has trained more than 31,000 employees to guide them to their next jobs.
