WASHINGTON – Many US households remain financially weak and uncertain about their retirement prospects, despite a booming job market that raises wages, according to a Federal Reserve poll released on Thursday.

A quarter of workers say they do not have retirement savings, according to the survey, and 44% fear that their savings are not on the right track. Of the youngest workers, aged 18 to 29, 42% did not put anything aside and only 26% think they are sufficiently prepared for retirement.
