One of the most important announcements that Apple could make during its revelation Monday is a new video game service. According to Bloomberg, Apple is creating a premium subscription service for the App Store. Unlike the recently announced Google Stadia, or PlayStation Now and Microsoft's xCloud, Apple's service is not cloud-based.

Instead, it will focus on iPhones and iPads and will bring together paid games from different developers that consumers can access for a monthly fee, "Bloomberg said.

A source said that Apple will pay developers based on the time spent by users to play their title. The report goes on to say that the service would only include paid games, not free titles. The report also indicates that the service may not be announced Monday, but at the developer conference in June. This moment would be intriguing because it is just before E3.

According to analyst Serkan Toto, this type of offer is already available in Japan. He also points out that if the free games are actually excluded, the next Nintendo Mario Kart Tour would not be eligible. As you may remember, Apple has partnered with Nintendo to promote and launch the free Mario Super Mario Run game.

A previous report suggested that the March 25 Apple press conference included the official revelation of Apple's plans for its own Netflix-style streaming service. Everything should become clear soon.
