A second stimulus check may be delayed, but it’s far from dead

The best chance for a recovery plan by the end of 2020 can give up one thing tens of millions of Americans aspire to: a second stimulus check for up to $ 1,200 through qualified adult. “For now, the whole of Congress should come together and adopt a strong relief package to meet these urgent needs. But any package adopted in a lame session is fortunate to be at best, just a start.” Biden said Tuesday when presenting picks for his future economics team.

“My transition team is already working on what I will propose to the next Congress to deal with the multiple crises we face, in particular our economic crises and COVID,” he said. Biden is expected to lobby for his own recovery plan after the Inauguration on January 20, but without the support of Congress, there is there wasn’t much he could do about a stimulation test.

However, Biden appears to remain confident that he can bend the ear of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who is expected to remain in charge of the Senate and is also expected to oppose Biden’s efforts, if Democrats do not win both.
