About 40,000 pounds of broccoli on the side of an Atlanta metro highway Monday morning may never arrive on a plate.

This is good news for tough young people, but it has caused problems for motorists in Clayton County overnight. A semitrailer truck carrying frozen vegetables spilled onto the I-285 to I-75 ramp, blocking it overnight, reported Channel 2 Action News.

While the ramp reopened at 6:30 am, cleaning work was still in progress at 9:30 am, according to the WSB's 24-hour traffic center. The teams were supposed to extract the broccoli before removing the big shipwreck.

In other news:

It began when thieves invaded the home of the owner, police said.
