Another shooting in America killed at least seven people, including an alleged gunman killed by police. Two dozen more people were injured in the rampage outside of Odessa, Texas – second mass shot in the state in a month.

The series of terrifying events began with a stoppage of traffic on Saturday on an interstate highway in the heart of the Texas oil country. US soldiers said that the man, identified only as a white man in his thirties, had stopped for the traffic control post, but then opened fire and was gone.

Shots hit a soldier in the car that caused the traffic to stop, the suspect having failed to signal to turn. The gunman then abandoned his car and hijacked a truck of the postal services, making more rounds as he walked away.
