A New Jersey man was beaten Wednesday night after entering St. Patrick's Cathedral with two full gas cans, according to repressive sources.

The 37-year-old man entered the downtown church with two 1-gallon red gas cans and was near the benches when he was sighted and seized by security, sources said.

The police think that the liquid contained in the cans is of essence.

The incident comes just days after the bursting of Notre-Dame Cathedral, which spilled its arrow and seriously damaged the historic building.
