A woman from Cullman County is behind bars after authorities said she accidentally shot her husband while she was trying to shoot someone else.
Sheriff Matt Gentry said the incident began around 6:45 pm. Saturday in an episode of rage driving on Alabama 69 in Dodge City. The dispute took place in a house on County Road 160 in Bremen.
Authorities said that Erica Cole had tried to shoot a second party but had hit her husband. Nicholas Cole was shot in the head and would be in a stable state.
Erica Cole was arrested for attempted murder, second degree aggression and reckless endangerment. She is held without engagement at the Cullman County Detention Center.
Gentry said additional details were not published because the investigation was ongoing.
