The 50th season of Monday Night Football will begin with a double header on September 9th, which will open with a pair of winners from the 2018 division, before presenting new faces to new locations.

The New Orleans Saints will host the Houston Texans in the opening game (7 pm ET), a match between defending champions NFC South and AFC South.

the Oakland Raiders will host the Denver Broncos in the first season of Broncos quarterback Joe Bracco and new Raiders Antonio Brown and Vontaze Burfict in Game 2 (10:15 pm ET).

Other notable games include:

  • During the second week, the Cleveland Browns will make their first appearance at the four-hour prime time, on the New York Jets road, during the rematch of the first football game on Monday night, September 21, 1970. Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. returns to MetLife Stadium, where he played five seasons with the New York Giants. The Browns won their last victory at the MNF in the 11th week of the 2008 season, a 29-27 win over the Buffalo Bills.

  • In Week 11, the Kansas City Chiefs will again try to play in Mexico City. Their game there against the Los Angeles Rams in 2018 was postponed due to poor ground conditions at the city's Azteca stadium. But the NFL has agreed to try again and the Chiefs will face the Los Angeles Chargers.

  • In Week 12, Monday Night Football will return to the scene of the craziest game of the 2018 season. A year after the Rams defeated the Chiefs, 54-51, the match being postponed from Mexico, the Rams will host 2018 AFC North Champion, Baltimore Ravens.

The 12 teams in the 2018 playoffs will make at least one appearance at Monday Night Football in 2019.
