PHOENIX – Additional appointments for the coronavirus vaccine will be available Tuesday morning at state vaccination sites, but high demand and available doses remain a concern.
At 9 a.m. on Jan. 19, ADHS says eligible Arizonans can register for vaccine appointments in February for State Farm Stadium in Glendale and Phoenix Municipal Stadium in the Phoenix / Tempe area. .

“Initial appointments are limited depending on vaccine supply, with appointments open depending on vaccine distribution by the federal government,” the Arizona Department of Health Services said in a statement. press release Monday morning.
Arizona would receive weekly vaccine allocations from the federal government, which determines how many doses of vaccine the state has and how many appointments can be offered.

The ADHS says the state is working to get more doses and will continue to offer as many appointments as possible. Community and county vaccination sites are also working to vaccinate as many eligible Arizonans as possible and increase availability.
As of Monday morning, the ADHS reports that more than 281,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to nearly 244,000 Arizonans.
Tuesday also marks the addition of Arizonans aged 65 and over to the priority vaccination group. Tuesday, 65 and over can register for an appointment for a vaccine.
Priority groups to date include: frontline healthcare workers, emergency service workers, residents and long-term care facility staff (in phase 1A): and protection; Kindergarten to Grade 12 educators from universities and community colleges; child care workers; and adults aged 75 and over (priority phase 1B).
