Advocate Condell Medical Center Suspends COVID-19 Vaccinations After ‘Reactions’ Are Reported

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. – Attorney Aurora Health, a health care system in Wisconsin and Illinois, said on Friday he halted COVID-19 vaccinations after healthcare workers “felt a reaction” following at Pfizer shooting.

Four members of the team at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Ill., Experienced “tingling and elevated heart rate,” according to a press release. The centre’s vaccination program is temporarily on hold while experts investigate.

“These four team members represent less than 0.15% of the approximately 3,000 people who have so far received vaccinations in Advocate Aurora Health. Right now we can share three team members who are home and doing well, and one is receiving additional treatment, ”Advocate Aurora Health said in a statement.

They explained that reactions are an expected side effect of vaccination, and they always encourage others to get vaccinated to end the coronavirus pandemic.

“These vaccines are very immunogenic, which means they stimulate a strong immune response, so it’s likely that if you have symptoms after a vaccine, your body will respond incredibly well to the vaccine,” said Dr. Grace Lee, pediatric. an infectious disease doctor at Stanford, told KGO-TV for a Dec.15 report.

Three of the workers are doing well at home and a fourth is receiving additional treatment.

Vaccinations at all other Advocate Aurora Health sites in Illinois and Wisconsin are continuing without delay, the statement said.
