AEW Fallout: No more tributes to Brodie Lee, Tony Khan buys music rights, more!

AEW Dynamite (December 30, 2020) was meant to celebrate the life of Brodie Lee. Fallout includes more tribute videos, Tony Khan doing a magnificent gesture by purchasing music rights, as well as other goodies.

Dynamite featured several personal tributes throughout. AEW posted a few more tributes. Frankie Kazarian, Dustin Rhodes, Jerry Lynn and Christopher Daniels shared stories illustrating Brodie’s genuine concern for his fellow wrestlers. In particular, Kaz was hit when Brodie snapped the second string and thought to warn Kaz for his safety.

Wardlow said Brodie is a perfect example of how the scariest men in pro wrestling are often the nicest. Wardlow also shared how much Brodie enjoyed winning the TNT Championship.

In the post-show with Tony Schiavone (here), Lance Archer, Cody Rhodes, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Jess Palombo and Anna Jay shared stories from Brodie. Cody shared how Brodie often joked about buying the boys’ lunch when it came to catering.

To accompany Cody’s story, the photo of Brodie eating Zaxby was shared. You may need to click on the tweet itself to see Brodie’s comedic expression.

Dynamite ended with an excellent video edit for Brodie to the tune of Tom Waits’ “Ol ’55”.

In a very cool move, Tony Khan actually bought the music rights so the tribute could go on forever.

We will end with the Dark AEW line up. Tuesday’s show will be coming up with 16 contests. Frankie Kazarian vs. Griff Garrison vs. Angelico vs. Darius Martin is the featured fight. All respective partners will be at ringside.

Three other games caught my attention. Fenix versus Aaron Solow should switch. A wrestler will take his first victory in Fuego del Sol against Danny Limelight. It’s possible that Fuego could finally strike a DDT tornado for the win (a recurring gag in Sammy Guevara’s vlog), however, it’s more likely that Limelight’s entertaining series of matches earned him a promotion at the payment box. For fans of NWA, Ashley Vox will fight with Thunder Rosa.
