Battlefield V Closed Alpha Impressions
The closed alpha for the game has become alive and as its name indicates, only a few people are able to play it. The alpha is only for those who have been invited and these people have been sent keys that they could exchange in Origin to test the game and provide feedback. This means that if you are not a famous YouTub-er or one of the lucky few who received the invitation, you probably will not get a key.
All is not bad news announced that they plan to include many people in the tests that follow this one until the release of the play on October 19 this year. Let's go and see what we got from the alpha of Battlefield V .
Game Modes
Since this is a closed alpha and the majority of things like the main menu and the responsiveness of the settings, etc. will probably be made immensely better than we approaching the exit, I believe it's best not to discuss it and focus instead on the game.
You load the game and go to the game section, you notice that it There are 2 different game modes that you can play. One of them is the clbadic Conquest mode that anyone who has ever played the series Battlefield will be familiar. It involves moving around and capturing flags that enemies can also capture.
Capturing flags and keeping more than half of them will cause the enemy to bleed spawn tickets. The first team that gets 0 tickets is the loser and the other is the winner.
Now, for the second mode known as Big Operations. This is a very interesting multiplayer mode that involves doing a number of different goals. It's a very interesting game mode that can have several different things to do. For example, you will have to defend the enemy's artillery at the beginning of the mode and later, the mode will automatically become the Conquest mode that people know so well. It will be very interesting to see how DICE refines this game mode until it is released and is able or not to give the default game mode of Battlefield a race for its money.
Graphics
As soon as you load in the game, the first thing you notice are the colors. Colors can be used to set the scene for most. For a survival game, they can make or break the mood of the player. 2 good examples of this are the beginning DayZ mod of ARMA 2 and RUST .
While DayZ dons his infested Zombie-Chernaurus with gray-colored buildings and dissonant music, RUST entertains the user with bright colors that seem to suggest that the game is much more optimistic and prepares the player for the human interactions that await him.
Battlefield has always been game that has tried to be as authentic as possible and that has meant that they have tried using color tones that are almost desaturated. This is done in most FPS games, which has not been a surprise. However, Battlefield V took a page on the books of RUST and tried to make the game as colorful as possible.
The forests are absolutely beautiful, as are the mountains. To top it off, the snow particles are incredibly realistic and make fighting enemies a pure pleasure. If you like the way ARMA 3 and Escape from Tarkov look, then you will love Battlefield V .
Other than that, the graphics look amazing forever and everything from the textures up to the lighting looks exactly like a triple-A game with a budget of several million dollars should look
Gameplay
This is a place where written words are very difficult to use because they are not able to express correctly how the game actually feels. For the most part, the game feels exactly like a game Battlefield and the way we have known the game for many years. However, there seems to be very slight touching here and there that makes a huge difference by doing very little things such as smoothing the movement.
As you now know, if you followed the game, the game will be set in World War II so that you will have access to weapons of those times. You have the ability to select both female and male characters by playing in multiplayer mode. There is not much information available right now if you want to play the single player campaign, but it should happen sooner or later.
Shooting with sticks, it's still a lot of fun There are many places on every map that you can use to snipe people. The visibility of the maps is incredibly clear, especially when they are lathered slowly while the sun is shining. This will allow everyone to clearly spot everyone, which means that sniper from a distance will be something incredibly fun for the snipers and incredibly boring for everyone.
There are other weapons in the game. You have weapons such as the badault rifle that seems to boast of its accuracy when it is zoomed. The SMGs are downright vicious when used at close range and seem a little too powerful when you pull the hip. It could be just the people who adapt to the game and it will take a few tries to find out just how effective the SMGs really are.
The LMG is quite smooth and has much less recoil while the Medic pistol is the same as it was in Battlefield 1 . Weapons are not a problem with Battlefield, so you do not need to worry about it.
Mechanics
There appear to have been some changes to the Conquest Mode of Battlefield V . The game mode is still the same and remains completely faithful to its core, but some changes have been made by the developers to encourage the teams to work together rather than stay separate from each other in a gigantic messy mess
. The first change that has been made is that you have extremely limited ammo. This means that you can not easily go lonely wolf into enemy territory because you will need to reload your ammo from supply stations scattered on the map. You will also be able to collect tiny amounts of ammo from enemies you kill in the game.
Whenever you try to collect ammo, there is a very sweet and satisfying animation where the player's character uses his hand to sweep the ammunition of the ground.
Health systems are also different now in the game. The biggest change I've seen is the fact that often, when you take a shot, your health does not get better. not go all the way. It regenerates, but in order to heal completely, you have to look for a medical post.
The clbadic means of replenishing teammates with ammunition and drugs are still present, and you can make full use of the drugs and supports that exist in your team . However, the small amount of ammo means that a sniper may need to use a mount with him as he climbs the mountain to get to a point of view from where he can see everyone
Final Thoughts
EA confirmed For us, the game will not include Season Pbades. This is a good idea since the paid DLC can often end up separating the player's base into separate factions and thus reducing the amount of fun that one can have with the game. This continues the trend we see in the game developer industry at the old school and providing free DLC rather than releasing half-games and the other half behind a paywall.
Overall, the game feels similar to Battlefield 1 but it is predictable with an annual franchise. There are still enough differences for people to enjoy the game and the little added details give the game a good first impression. The graphics and sound seem incredible, just like weapons
For me, Battlefield has always been a game for people who want something a little more hardcore than Call of Duty ] but not something particularly difficult like Squad or Rising Storm and this game sums it up perfectly.
