The 2018 report of the US Department of State's Trafficking in Persons (TiPs) gave TT a boost for its fight against human trafficking.
According to the report, this country has maintained its
Annual Report recognizes the progress made by the Government, including the expansion of intelligence-gathering powers over trafficking crimes and the creation of new work on intelligence gathering and prosecutions to strengthen the ability of law enforcement to investigate and prosecute.
The report also notes the government's collaboration with INTERPOL in investigating four potential trafficking cases and increasing anti-trafficking training for public officials.
