Say hello to the (750 kW / 1,291 N !!) ABT Audi RS6-E …

The ABT Sportsline people are well known for turning the Volkswagen Group's performance vehicles into real monsters. But the last offer is a little different: meet the prototype ABT Audi RS6-E, which combines a combustion engine with (* gasp *) electric drive.

Thanks to an electric motor installed in the transmission tunnel (additional delivery oomph the rear axle at the tip of a green button on the steering wheel), this special RS6 generates a whopping 750 kW and 1,291 Nm in total.

With the kind permission of an in-house developed engine control unit and modified exhaust system, the RS6 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 engine produces 537 kW (against 412 kW in stock). The result is a sprint time of 0 to 100 km / h claimed of only 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 320 km / h.

But the latter prototype also has the ability to complete this already considerable push with electric power after the speedometer needle reached 100 km / h, adding an additional 213 kW and 317 Nm "for a short time". This electrical impulse comes from what ABT calls a "relatively compact battery with a capacity of 13.6 kWh".

As you can see from the pictures that accompany it, ABT gave the prototype a futuristic movie film reminiscent of the design of a printed circuit board. The 21-inch alloys, meanwhile, get special "aero rings", while the mandatory body kit includes a front lip, front skirt additions, side mirror caps, wing inserts, side skirts and a rear skirt.
