Members of Mozambique's national airline board were sacked after the Prime Minister was stuck following flight cancellations.
The financial difficulties caused the airline, state-controlled LAM, to be forced to cancel flights because it was unable to pay for the fuel.
Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosário was forced to use an air force plane for his official trip to the northern province of Nibada.
