A small segment of users took on Twitter to report a new bug in WhatsApp Web. This new bug allows users to see the last view of users in their contact list, regardless of the privacy settings that their friends and family have selected on their side. The thing to note here is that this behavior is quite erratic and only visible to some users. The relevant part is that users are able to see the 'last seen' even if the WhatsApp user at the other end has selected "Person" as an option in the section "Who can see my personal information" in the submenu Account Privacy
Some users have tweeted about from this problem to WABetaInfo who attempted to investigate the cause of this bug. Even after a number of answers on the platform, there was no clarity on what was causing the problem. WhatsApp Web even showed the wrong time instead of the actual 'last view' of some of the users. Although the Twitter feed pointed out that it is likely that WhatsApp Web pulls the "last seen" of any of your contacts with whom you were conversing at the same time.

WhatsApp did not publish any statement in response to complaints where users were reporting this problem. It has been about a week since the first complaints appeared on the Internet. This comes right after it's been revealed that the company will make changes to the advanced feature on the app by "running a test to limit the transfer." This limit will apply to everyone who uses the platform. a lower limit "that will allow users to forward any message up to 5 chats at the same time."
The company also announced that it will "delete the fast forward button" which is next to the media messages, which means that users will have to either press long on the message to select it and transfer it manually or they will have to download it, then transfer it manually using the media selector.
