Former NASA engineer Jake Middleton launched a Kickstarter campaign for his PlayStation 4 and Xbox One controller mod, MEGA-one, "crazy, over-the-top"
MEGA -one acts as an exoskeleton the existing PlayStation 4 and Xbox One controllers. It is made from aerospace grade aluminum, featuring an "industrial grade" vibrator and a "mega engine", resulting in a mod that makes the controller's vibration 10 times more powerful, according to a chart on its page Kickstarter
If the Kickstarter campaign reaches its target of nearly US $ 7,500, the single mod should begin to be delivered in February 2019. MEGA- one will be available alone for $ 135 US or pre-badembled with a controller for $ 200 USD. Middleton believes that the mod kit will take about five minutes to bademble and only a few seconds to come off a controller.
Middleton, a 17-year-old engineer, previously worked on projects for NASA and the US Army. Although the creation of a mod controller may be far from the design of radiators and satellite missiles, Middleton explains the change by saying that he simply wants to "have fun".
The Kickstarter campaign is now online and will continue until August 26th. ]
