CAPE TOWN – Absa announced that it will work with Samsung South Africa, to soon offer its customers early access to Samsung Pay before this service is marketed in South Africa.
What is Samsung Pay?
Samsung Pay is Samsung Electronics' mobile payment and digital wallet service that allows users to make payments using compatible phones and other devices produced by Samsung.
How it works:
1. Store your credit card details in the app on a Samsung device,
2. Pay merchants by typing or "slipping" your smartphone rather than a physical bank card.
The application allows you to make payments via Magnetic Secure Transmission, which mimics the magnetic stripe on the back of your card.
