Aquaman failed to kill Corum Rath, now fully fueled by Dark Abyssal Eldritch. The dolphin comes to help, but his powers are greatly overshadowed by those of Rath and Darkness. Finally, when all seems lost, Queen Mera and Xebel's armies arrive to save Atlantis and its inhabitants. The battle is renewed, and all hands are on the bridge to save the underwater kingdom.

This is the culmination and conclusion that has been year in the making. The takeover of Atlantis by Corum Rath took place a long time ago in the real world, and a lot of patience and expectation have accumulated towards the end. And Aquaman # 38 book.

It's a sacred comic. We can see Arthur, Mera, Dauphin, Vulko, Cetea, Undine, King Shark, Jurok Byss and even the ghostly guardians of the Silent School participating in this battle against Rath and his mutated followers.

This is an exciting, cathartic and total fun that ends in the history of the tyranny of Corum Rath.

The only part that does not quite click is the end, which is a strange mixture of reminders to Dark Nights: Metal and a coming cross with Suicide Squad . This shows that there will be no room for maneuver or time to celebrate between this comic and the next, and this story needed a break and a unique book after all that has changed for Aquaman, Mera and Atlantis.

Words Do not Make The Art of Justice by Riccardo Federici and those who follow my reviews know that I have tried it. His work is magnificent and has made one of the best books on the market. Sunny Gho does a great job of color too, and … just look at the photo I've included and judge for yourself. It's beautiful.

Aquaman # 38 is not perfect, and those arches of the past concerning the reign of Corum Rath would almost certainly have been cut off. That said, this book is a treasure hunt to cover with an engaging conflict and marvelous works of art. This one is recommended. Give him a reading.
