] The Senate Speaker, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has returned to the hands of many supporters who welcome him to Ilorin, his hometown yesterday, 10 days after the Supreme Court has cleared him of accusations of misrepresentation of property against him by the federal government.

: At 35h, supporters of the Senate president besieged Ilorin International Airport and surrounding areas to await his arrival. Motorists and other road users had plenty of time on the Ilorin-Ogbomosho road while Saraki's supporters were standing on both sides of the road; with vehicles stretching for about five kilometers.

Although the Saraki flight did not arrive until around 4:17 pm, the fans remained alive with dance and music from different groups. Speaking with reporters, Saraki then called his trial a tough three years but expressed his satisfaction that his followers never doubted his innocence as he had told them individually. But, he declined to comment on what he will do about the pressure exerted by some of his supporters to get them out of the All Progressive Congress (APC). He only asked reporters not to "worry" or "push" him on the subject.

"As I said, do not worry, do not push me, I'll call at once and I'll tell Nigerians," says Saraki.
During his trial and home visit, he said, "It was a long journey for all my people in the state, and we thank God Almighty for that." I want to thank all those who have never hesitated.They believed in my innocence and supported me throughout these three very difficult years and it was a great feeling for us all.
