In a tweet from Xiaomi Global, they mention that the next successor to the A1 is en route. Although they do not confirm the name Mi A2 that is what it is likely to be called. The phone will be launched on July 24 in Madrid, Spain, during the Mi Explorer event. They also teased that 2 devices will be launched, not just one. It will probably be the Mi A2 Lite.

Specifications Mi A2

The phone will have a 6: 18: 9 format with FHD + resolution and will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 and 4GB of memory. The battery capacity is 3000 mAh with support for QuickCharge 3.0 via USB type-C. At the back, there is a double 20 + 12 megapixel camera module and the front camera is also 20 megapixels. You can also expect AI features in the camera. Talking about software, the phone will run on Stock Android 8.1 and will be the first online for updates. The best part will be the price.

The A1 was using the same hardware as the Mi 5X a few months ago, and so the A2 should be built on the Mi 6X chbadis. (The 6X does not have a headphone jack). There were rumors earlier that Xiaomi will not bring the A2 to India, but new reports claim that the A2 will come to India very soon, with 5 color options: Black, Blue, Gold, Red and Rose.
