How to disable "Galaxy Apps" notifications on your Samsung phone

As most Galaxy owners know, Samsung phones come with their own app store, Galaxy Apps, which includes new fonts and Edge configurations for your device as well other applications and games. It can be a great resource when you want to personalize your phone and a great deal of trouble if you accidentally activate store notifications.

If you've signed up for Galaxy Apps notifications, you're probably bombarded by the messages you receive. Fortunately, it is quite easy to disable them. As CNET noted this weekend, first open your application drawer and tap the Samsung folder, then select Galaxy Apps.

Next, tap the vertical ellipses icon at the top right of the screen, tap Settings, then tap Notifications. Make sure the list of "General Notifications" is in the "off" position, and Galaxy Apps will not bother you anymore.

If you are annoyed by the notifications on your Samsung phone that do not come from Galaxy Apps, open the Settings menu on your phone and select "Notifications". From there, you can toggle the notifications of each application on your phone at once, or select the individual applications you want to receive notifications from (or mute).
