On an iOS device, open the Instagram app, and select the tab for your profile. It is the icon representing a silhouette in the lower right corner. Tap the Settings icon, then scroll down. Finally, you will find the section Privacy and security. Select Activity Status from the list, and then toggle the switch to Disabled

Android users must open the application, and then press the profile tab – this is the silhouette icon in the bottom right corner. Then tap the three-dot icon in the upper right corner.
