The last filming of Nomzamo Mbatha's cover for the edition 'activism' Cosmopolitan magazine provoked a furious debate on social media after Ntsiki Mazwai claimed that the actress was "positioned" as an activist.

In a series of quilting tweets, Ntsiki did not mince her words when she said Nomzamo was not an activist.

"Nomzamo continues to position herself as an activist, when did she ever represent something beyond her appearances?", Tweeted Ntsiki.

The musician continued to substantiate her comments by emphasizing her definition of activist.

"Activism is a way of life, not an occasion for photoshoot or travel, not to disrespect the selfless souls who truly give their lives to four other people, who have not considered that they had bills to pay. "Souls that help others instead of themselves."

Within hours, Ntsiki's comments became viral and were at the top of the list of trends on Twitter since.

Nomzamo did not respond directly to Ntsiki, but commented on the whole saga and put a reviewer in his place.

The tweep accused Nomzamo of being paid for the charity appearances she made, which obviously angered Nomzamo.

"I am saddened by your unfounded and totally false statement, I am not paid to defend the causes I believe in. If you are looking for a pretty face that represents nothing I am not the one you spread lies J & Hope you are proud. "

The whole fiasco has seen fans and high profile personalities defend Nomzamo:
