The CHAMPION study was conducted by the Department of Reproductive Health and Research of WHO, including the UNDP-UNFPA-UNICEF-WHO-World Bank Special Program of Research, Development and Training. in Human Reproduction Research (HRP), using Ferring's heat-stable carbetocin, and funded by MSD for mothers.1,6 Ferring will now look for registrations and manufacture thermostable carbetocin. The parties will work together to make heat-stable carbetocin affordable and sustainable in the public sector in low- and middle-income countries that have a high burden of maternal mortality.
