The world record is currently held by the new clbad A sedan with a C value _d of 0.22 and a brake of less than 0.49 m ² . With a C value _d of 0.25, the new A-Clbad sedan, too, surpbades its already excellent predecessor (C _d value: 0.26 / frontal area: 2.20 m ² )

Good aerodynamic properties make an essential contribution to low fuel consumption in everyday conditions. The A-Clbad sedan has been optimized to the smallest detail thanks to a multitude of calculation loops, CAE simulations and measurements in the Sindelfingen wind tunnel. In addition to the exceptional exterior shape, many small steps have led to the new record: a sophisticated reduction of the frontal area despite significantly improved interior comfort dimensions, an extended sealing concept (such as watertightness of projectors) as well as the almost complete underbody paneling, which includes the engine compartment, the main floor, parts of the rear axle and the diffuser.

The front and rear spoilers have been specially optimized to deliver the air as efficiently as possible. The wheels and tires have also been aerodynamically adjusted. Depending on the market, an optional two-part shutter system behind the grille is available, which minimizes the flow of air through the engine compartment.

The A-Clbad Saloon will be launched at the end of 2018. The four-door sedan has the sedan's wheelbase (2729 millimeters) as well as the proportions of a dynamic and yet compact sedan with short overhangs at the front and at the back. He is at the top of his segment with respect to the backswing. In addition, the sedan model has the familiar clbad A virtues.
