Mini-concept cars at the Festival of Speed

Every year, the Goodwood Festival of Speed gives vehicles of different eras the opportunity to strut about – models from Pre-war to Formula One racers.

The event is all about speed (as its name suggests) and visitors enjoy a near-race car experience on the show .

One of the highlights is the free access to the paddock throughout the Festival of Speed and the interaction between visitors and racing personalities increasingly rare.

The FoS 2018 edition also sees Mini present two design studies: Concept and John Cooper Works GP Concept, which were unveiled for the first time at the IAA International Motor Show in Frankfurt last year.

The electrical concept is projected into the future on a wave of innovation.

The design study offers a taste of the first fully electric Mini model (to be introduced in 2019) and urban mobility in the coming years. Urban mobility has always been part of the Mini brand's DNA and the city is its natural habitat.

The concept of the John Cooper Works GP is the reservation of the Mini range at Goodwood. Inspired by the legendary success of the brand in Monte Carlo exactly 50 years ago, this concept car offers uncompromising dynamics and ultimate driving pleasure.
