Netflix orders a series of apocalyptic zombies based on Daybreak Comic

A series of apocalyptic zombies based on the Brian Ralph Daybreak graphic novel is underway at Netflix.

By Deadline, Netflix gave an order of 10 episodes for the series, which is described as a dark subversive zombie comedy. Aron Eli Coleite (Star Trek: Discovery, Heroes) will serve as a showrunner and executive producer, with Brad Peyton (Rampage) as director and executive producer.

The story tells the story of a 17-year-old pariah named Josh. go get his missing girlfriend Sam in post-apocalyptic Glendale, California. He will be joined by some of his eccentric friends, including a 12-year-old arsonist named Angelica and the former tyrant of Josh Wesley, who is now a pacifist samurai.

During his trip, Josh and his friends will have to survive and face Mad Max gangs and zombies like the Ghoulies.

The first date of the series has not yet been fixed.

Netflix also chose the horror-fantasy drama Locke and Key.
