Pro Football Focus has been leaning on quarterback dropback performance each quarter last season, and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was the best performer in the fourth quarter.
Wilson posted an adjusted pbading grade of 120.3 quarter, which is higher than any QB posted in a quarter last season. He posted an adjusted completion percentage of 77.7% – which is all the more impressive as his average target depth (aka how far his receivers were) was 12.15 yards, this which is the third highest among all QBs of all quarters. He excelled in clutch situations, making his prowess in the fourth quarter less surprising. He is one of two quarterbacks with a PFF rating greater than 80 in what is defined as "clutch situations". The other is Tom Brady
Wilson hopes to keep Seattle in every game next season with his arms and feet. A new attack around him will, hopefully, lessen the pressure of QB. Otherwise, at least we know that he can cope with it.
