Specifications are unlikely to excite smartphone fans, but the Samsung Android Go rumored phone will be one of the most intriguing phones to arrive this year.
Now the device, said to be the light version of Google's mobile operation system, has taken a step closer to reality. It appears that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has certified the phone for sale in the United States.
Unfortunately, the deposit gives nothing, beyond the model numbers SM-J260G, SM-J260G / DS, SM-J260Y, and SM-J260Y / DS, which were previously rumored for the phone (via UberGizmo ).
However, this seems to confirm that Samsung plans to launch the device in Western territories such as the United States and Europe. According to some sources, Samsung has tested the handset in "dozens" of markets around the world, including the UK, while "testing the waters" for an exit

Speculation tipped the phone to have a 5-inch Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 7570 1.4GHz Quad Cor processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 2600 mAh battery. In terms of cameras, the leak suggests that it would be a case of 8MP in the back and 5MP in the front. It is expected that the device rolls on Android 8.1 Oreo version of Go operating system.
Android Go was announced at MWC 2018 in February. It comes with lightweight Google apps like YouTube and Chrome. There is also a dedicated version of the Play Store where developers can create optimized versions of their apps.
