LADD – The 15th annual "Convoy Against Cancer" Heavyweight Show will be back on Route 89 / Main Street at Ladd on Saturday, July 21st from 10am to 3pm. The show aims to offer vehicle owners and enthusiasts something different while enjoying a good cause: the Relay For Life of the American Cancer Society.
There will be all makes and models of new and restored large trucks, including crane trucks, fire trucks, tow trucks and large trucks from all over the north central region of the United States. Illinois. Pickups and farm tractors – new and old – are also part of the show. All participants will receive a dashboard plaque from Spring Valley Graphic Electronics. Truck registration fees are a gift to the American Cancer Society.
In addition to a lot of chrome and batteries, there will be entertainment for the whole family with DJ Gary Swanson's music, door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, the sale of bakery items. Relay team for life and event t-shirts will be on sale. Local businesses have donated door price items ranging from toys to motor oil. The entrance to the show is free for the public
The organizer of the exhibition, Phil Hocking, is grateful to many local businesses and individuals who have supported the big show of convoy trucks against the Cancer in the last 15 years. He says, "We have come to know many people who come out every year with their trucks and their entrances. Many participate in the memory or in the honor of a loved one affected by cancer. In one way, it is like a homecoming every year. We laugh and cry and we support each other. Everyone is welcome to go out and spend some time, check out the big vehicles and help this cause. "
