The Museum of Natural History is transformed into a theater to stage a play about Charles Darwin's historic journey, near the gallery where the treasures he has collected are kept.
The Wider Earth show tells how the naturalist He sailed on the HMS Beagle in 1831 for a five-year journey that inspired his theory of evolution
. It will be presented in a 357-seat theater in the museum's Jerwood Gallery, just steps from the Darwin Center. Clare Matterson, director of engagement for the museum, said, "This exciting collaboration brings together a talented theater team and the scientific expertise of the museum.
