Last week, the Nokia X6 finally became global as the Nokia 6.1 Plus Android One phone with its first market outside of China being Hong Kong. Now that the name of the global variant is confirmed, we expect the Nokia 6.1 Plus to make its way to several other markets, with India to be part of it. While HMD Global has yet to confirm anything about its launch in India, the Nokia 6.1 Plus user guide has been spotted on the Indian official website with Indian details SAR
The Nokia 6.1 Plus has been spotted by NokiaPowerUser during the weekend. Notably, earlier this month NPU also claimed (based on retail sources) that the Nokia 6.1 Plus could be launched in the country in August or September. The latest report adds that the user guide for the Nokia 6.1 Plus complete with Indian SAR information appears "correct and valid". This suggests that the company could be ready for the launch of Nokia 6.1 Plus India sooner rather than later.
Aside from Hong Kong, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is expected to reach Taiwan and Russia as soon as the device will be spotted on their respective certification sites. The Nokia X6 has garnered a lot of attention and praise from the community thanks to its high-end design language that is selling at an affordable mid-range price. Originally launched in China, the Nokia X6 was promised for the global market by HMD after seeing positive responses.
The company has rapidly expanded its product line this year and has already launched nearly a dozen phones. Last week, the company quietly announced the Nokia 3.1 in India at Rs 10,449. The latest Nokia phone is also one of the cheapest Android One phones in the country currently.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus should be somewhere between Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 7 Plus when it will be launched in India. The Nokia 6.1 Plus brings a notch of display allowing more screen to the real estate in a compact format. The device sports a 5.8-inch FHD + (1080×2280) 19: 9 screen and is powered by a Snapdragon 636 octa-core chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. This is offered with 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.
The dual camera system on the Nokia 6.1 Plus includes a 16 megapixel primary sensor and a 5 megapixel secondary sensor. Housed in the notch on the front is a 16-megapixel sensor with f / 2.0 aperture. The cameras also benefit from AI support, which improves the picture quality and the bokeh effect. The Nokia 6.1 Plus dual-SIM houses a 3060 mAh battery with support for fast charging via USB Type-C. The device also receives Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac and a 3.5mm headphone jack, among other things.
