In 1991, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, police officers spotted Tracy Edwards on the streets and, after investigation, they found one of the darkest scenes in history in the form from Jeffrey Dahmer's apartment. that Dahmer had held him in his apartment and threatened to kill him. Although they initially thought the story was questionable, the officers took Edwards to Dahmer's apartment. Dahmer calmly explained that all this was only a misunderstanding and that the officers almost believed him.

However, they saw some Polaroid photos of dismembered bodies, and Dahmer was arrested. When Dahmer's apartment was fully excavated, a horror house was revealed. In addition to photo albums full of photos of body parts, the apartment was littered with human remains

Several heads were in the fridge and freezer; two skulls were on top of the computer; and a 57-gallon (215.76-liter) can containing several chemical-decomposing bodies was found in a corner of the bedroom. There was also evidence suggesting that Dahmer had eaten some of his victims.

Neighbors told detectives and the press that they had already noticed a terrible smell emanating from the apartment but that Dahmer had explained that it was about stale meat. However, the most shocking revelation about how Dahmer managed to hide his horrific crimes in the middle of an urban building will arrive a few days later.

Apparently, the police had been called two months earlier about a naked and bleeding man. One year old boy chased by Dahmer in an alley. The police officers who responded effectively fired the boy, who had been drugged, into Dahmer's apartment – where he was quickly killed. The police, who said that they thought it was a family dispute, were returned later.

A forensic examination of the apartment revealed 11 victims – the first of which disappeared in March 1989, just two months before Dahmer was sentenced to imprisonment for molesting a child while saying to the judge that he was desperately seeking to change his conduct. Dahmer later confessed 17 murders in all, dating from his first victim in 1978. The jury rejected Dahmer's madness defense, and he was sentenced to 15 terms of life. He survived an attempt in his life in July 1994, but was killed by another inmate on November 28, 1994.

Several films have been made about Dahmer's youth and his murders, and here are the movie trailers of two of-known (the latter only being released last year):

Dahmer (2002)

My Friend Dahmer (2017)
