Xbox One games will now begin faster than ever in the July update – BGR

One of the most intriguing announcements Microsoft made at E3 2018 last month was a new feature called FastStart that would allow Xbox One owners to start selected games twice as fast and start playing. even with a small part of the game actually downloaded to their console. This week, the July update has begun to be distributed to everyone, which means that you can test the feature as soon as you install the update.

There are however some caveats about FastStart. First of all, it is only enabled for English language titles in the Xbox Game Pbad Catalog at launch, so do not expect it to work for the majority of your games. Second, you need a download speed of at least 20 Mbps to use FastStart. Anything slower will not work.

In addition to FastStart (which is the highlight of the update), Microsoft has also enhanced the Pins feature by allowing users to group their games. Groups allow you to create multiple collections of content from anywhere in My Games and Applications. You can badign custom names to your groups, order them and even add them to your home page.

Microsoft also makes it easy to find content. In the future, all you have to do is press the Y button from anywhere in the dashboard to bring up the search bar. You can use the search feature to find content in your library, games on the Xbox Store, or even to access specific settings menus.
