The Yakuza franchise has provided some of the most elaborate and engaging stories in the game since its debut in 2006. The first entry on the PS2 may have had some acting voice, but even with that dark cloud hanging over it, the underlying quality of the characters and their stories remained compelling. Since then, the story of yakuza Kazuya Kiryu has been expanded to include not only his surrogate daughter Haruka, but an entire orphanage and in the last episode, his own son. It seems rather fitting that with the final entry of the cannon for Kiryu who recently hit the PS4, PC owners would see his first chronological story told via Yakuza 0 – which we absolutely loved the year last.
The PC version brings a variety of visual enhancements alongside the same exciting and violent adventure that seduced players last year. Yakuza 0 acting as a prequel has put him in a difficult position in some ways because the original stories can be hard to tell – especially coming so long after the first outing of a series . Fortunately, Kazuya Kiryu having had a long prison sentence before the first match, this gave something to the creators of Yakuza 0 – his early days in the yakuza that led him as well as the world around him to the events of this game. 19659002] 
This prequel eventually binds many things and adds more to the tradition in terms of characters and their relationships with each other. This is particularly impressive since the series is known to have a lot of moving parts, so adding more to it without harming overall storytelling is not a trivial matter. The dynamic between Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima is explored and this makes the first entry on PC particularly interesting. Their longstanding rivalry is something that console owners know – but here the problems are just beginning. This means that players coming to Yakuza 0 will be able to see things evolve in a completely chronological order, which will change the way the story feels.
Just like playing something like Life is Strange With the chronological order of history, it's harder to fill in all the empty spaces later. You can always remember things to a certain extent, but small details can be lost in the fray when you try to remember seven long parts of the story. Starting with Yakuza 0 on PC, Sega allows newcomers to see the story unfold in a more natural sequence – and with the best version of this prequel. Yakuza 0 was originally a PlayStation 3 version that had some visual enhancements for the PS4, but ended up shining brightly on PC.
While the PS3 version was amazing the hardware and PS4 version refined the graphics and reinforced the details, both pale compared to the PC version. Now, each individual hair is visible on the stubble while the real-world objects glow like never before. The basic animations remain the same, which means that there are realistic details for things like walking around as the battles mix with surreal animations. The closed combat zones of the franchise and the beat-em-up-inspired fights play like a dream regardless of the platform on which you play, but the use of an Xbox One controller changes the fighting sensation very lightly.
Play the franchise with a DualShock controller and move to an Xbox layout is a little different. The Xbox controller holds up better in larger hands and the contours on the bumpers and triggers make it a little easier to use these buttons for the following characters in the overworld or targeting a single enemy during the fight. The bigger buttons move from one button to another, then another to kick, then another to grab and then use your Heat specials more easily. The fight comes a little easier with the Xbox controller and this makes the experience more comfortable.
Beyond the Fight, the Yakuza series is also known for its parallel activities and the prequel presents hilarity with a variety of battles and even a bit of goofy karaoke. These little things allow this entrance to be a perfect starting point and facilitate entry into the tradition. Right away, you have the opportunity to learn the strong character of Kiryu before beating drunkards and bullies before singing terribly in a karaoke group. You also have a host of clbadic Yu Suzuki arcade games to play and you can even enjoy some slot machine racing if you like.
Newcomers to the Yakuza series could not ask for a much better start. With the first game, it's a great way to start the series. The basic game has more refinement than the original version of Yakuza and tied with the remake of the first while the story is a bit of an age story for Kiryu as he is put in positions difficult frequently.
