The Dutch were hit early in the shoot when winger David Neres was injured during the warm-up and replaced by Kasper Dolberg at the starting lineup. However, they had their first chance when Dusan Tadic hit a shot that deviated from Kieran Trippier and was saved by a sprawling Hugo Lloris.

From the corner, though, Ajax had more than one chance: they had a goal within five minutes. Matthijs de Ligt overtook Dele Alli to go home and make a 2-0 total. VAR was called to check if an entanglement left Jan Vertonghen on the ground, but the goal was given.

Tottenham still needed to score twice to win and, from a tight angle, Son Heung-Min hit the post. Christian Eriksen then found Alli, who escaped the ball for a corner but was still reported offside.

The match continued even before Alli pulled the ball into Son's net, but the South Korean could not beat goalkeeper Andre Onana. Seconds later, the ball fell on Lucas Moura who broke into the box and handed it to Eriksen so that he could again shoot into Onana's hands.

The Spurs continued their momentum and Lucas Moura opened the scoring for an outdoor volley but Ajax almost put the game to rest. Victor Wanyama was dispossessed and Tadic was sent to the left, but the former Southampton striker slid his shot just over the post under pressure from Toby Alderweireld.

A few minutes later, Ajax scored a second goal. Tripper struggled to win the ball halfway and Tadic was released again to the left. This time, the attacker reduced the ball to Hakim Ziyech, who completely hit the ball in the upper corner of Lloris with his left foot.

While the Spurs must now score three times to win cumulatively, Mauricio Pochettino brought Wanyama to striker Fernando Llorente at halftime.

Initially, it worked when the Premier League team caught up with Ajax with countless centers and Eriksen had found a way to break the ball while his incredible pass was reaching Alli at the far post, but Onana greatly saved the strike.

In the 54th minute, the Spurs were back in the game. Danny Rose hid a De Ligt out of position and sent a nice ball to Alli who ran to the heart of Ajax's defense, but the ball was broken to Lucas Moura and the Brazilian went on brought home.

Four minutes later he was 2-2 in the night and 3-2 in Ajax overall. First, Onana made a spectacular stop. Llorente was pushed back at close range, but Lucas Moura recovered the rebound and, turning around a handful of defenders, he managed to shoot a shot.

Ajax, who had been punished for sitting and allowing the Spurs to attack, is back on the offensive. Daley Blind scored a goal, then Tadic found Ziyech in the area with a low center that the Moroccan knocked off.

Rather than play football, De Ligt was forced to throw Lucas Moura's shot to stop the goal that would have allowed Tottenham to get ahead. And at the other end, the center back controlled a ball in the area and fired a powerful center that was repelled by Lloris and was out of danger by escaping Nicolas Tagliafico.

As the match started in the last 20 minutes, it was up to everyone to win. The center of Trippier was just behind Alderweireld and the nerves of Ajax were clearly visible. The Dutch fans had their hearts on fire, Donny van de Beek's shot was dropped and Ziyech hit one against the bottom of the post after bouncing back.

Tottenham continued to press in the final minutes and Vertoghen hit the bar with a corner header before the rebound was cleared from the line.

Lloris was placing an attack forward for a late corner, but that is Llorente who scored and who should have done better with his head.

Then, with the last shot of sending the match, Lucas Moura won it. Llorente hits the ball at the bottom, Alli pushes her back to the defense and Lucas Moura tries to score the goal at home to seal the most spectacular victory.
