Former Baltimore Ravens running back Alex Collins was arrested Friday on charges of possession of firearms and drugs as a result of a car accident. He reportedly told police that he had more weapons and narcotics at his home.
The Baltimore County Police responded to a 911 call, shortly before 7 am, from someone who had reported seeing a black Corvette crush on a tree located in the Dolfield Road 10000 block. .
Officers found 24-year-old Alex Collins drowsy at the wheel.

According to a press release, Collins reportedly informed police that he was leaving the Towson area with a friend when he had lost control of the car due to snow on the roadway. He reportedly slipped from the sidewalk and crashed into a tree at approximately 4:30 am
Collins said that he had fallen asleep waiting for the arrival of the tow truck. The passenger, identified as Tykheem Jaquon Deundrea Dunaway, 28, decided to walk back on foot.
During the investigation, officers reported a smell of marijuana in the vehicle. A search found a glass jar on the passenger side containing five ounces of what appeared to be pot. Police said that a handgun had been found on the floor of the driver's side.

Police said Collins said he had firearms and extra drugs at his home. The police obtained a search warrant and found two more rifles, ammunition and a small amount of marijuana, they reported.
Collins and Dunaway gave conflicting stories about who the owner of the drugs was; both men were arrested and charged with possession of controlled hazardous substances for the purpose of distributing and possessing marijuana of more than 10 grams.
Collins was also accused of having a handgun in a vehicle. He was released Saturday morning on a deposit of $ 7,500.
Dunaway was released after depositing a $ 5,000 bond.
The Ravens announced on Twitter immediately after the announcement of Collins' arrest that they had waived his contract.
