Sony has already revealed some of the first details about its next generation console, which we hope to see next year. We have some information, even though we do not even know his official name. The PS5 will have PS4 backward compatibility and SSD storage, and will support PSVR. Sony has not yet released a price or release date, but we know that the PS5 will not be released until April 2020.
Before continuing, note that we do not know the final title of the next PlayStation console. We use PlayStation 5 and PS5 as the short title, but Sony could still "shoot us a Vita" and give it a different name. Indeed, Mark Cerny, the most prominent system architect of the PS5, has refused to explicitly call the console PlayStation 5 for the moment, instead of simply designate it as "the new generation console" Sony. PS5 Release Date

Again, Sony has not specified the cost of its new console, but he just said that the price of the PS5 will be attractive to players. Will the PS5 be backwards compatible with PS4 games?
Cerny also confirmed that the PS5 would be backward compatible with PS4 games, as both consoles are built on similar internal architectures. This will be good news for those who have been disappointed by the PS4's lack of backward compatibility with PS3, PS2 and PS1 games.
SIE President Jim Ryan told the GameSpot partner site that backwards compatibility and cross-compatibility are important for the PS5 to help players make a smooth transition.

Still good news, PS4 games will run even faster than on your current console, in part because the PS5 will contain an SSD, as opposed to the hard drives that come with the current consoles. Cerny presented an Insomniac Spider-Man charge test taking less than a second with a PS5 development kit, compared to 15 seconds with a PS4 Pro.

PS5 Specifications and disk drive
It is there that Sony has been surprisingly direct with new information. The company confirmed that the PlayStation 5 would contain an AMD chip with a processor based on the third generation Ryzen. It will have eight 7-nanometer Zen-chip cores. The console will also support the game at 8K, but this will of course depend on the fact that the TVs will catch up.
The graphics will be driven by a customized version of Radeon's Navi line. This graphics chip will support ray tracing, which is starting to become popular in movies and video games. Although this is traditionally considered a lighting technique, Cerny says that this technique could also improve the sound of games. In fact, the PS5 will fully support 3D audio.
The aforementioned SSD is also a big detail because it means games will load faster and handle more on-screen objects simultaneously than current HDD-based consoles. Characters and cameras could move faster in the game worlds as environments could be loaded much faster than today.
Last detail, we know that the PS5 will not follow the road of the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, which does not include a disk drive. Instead, the PS5 will include a disk drive, so rest assured that you will still be able to buy and play physical games. We do not yet know what type of disc will be supported by the console. It is possible that it can handle 4K UHD Blu-Ray, which can carry twice as much data as standard Blu-Ray discs.
Sony has also confirmed that the PS5 is capable of supporting 4K images at 120Hz for those who have a compatible TV. 120Hz is a refresh rate twice that of standard TVs.
Will PS5 support PSVR?
The current PSVR will actually be supported by the PS5, as will the PlayStation Move controllers. "I will not go into the details of our virtual reality strategy," Cerny said, "except that virtual reality is very important to us and that the current PSVR headset is compatible with the new console." The system architect did not however specify whether a new PSVR device would be available.
PS5 Games
We do not know many games confirmed on PS5 yet. There were rumors that Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding would be on PS5, but the release date of the game earlier than expected on PS4 cast doubt on this rumor. When GameSpot asked him if Death Stranding would arrive on PS4, PS5 or both, Sony avoided answering the question directly. He has simply ranked the game among the many "fans of PlayStation … to look forward to PS4."
Aside from Death Stranding, it is reasonable to assume that annual titles like FIFA and Call of Duty would leap back to PS5, although their developers did not say anything concrete.
