Louisiana won Sunday its first World Lifetime Championship title (LLWS), beating the Curaçao international champions 8-0, led by a whistle with two shots from pitcher Egan Prather.
The River Ridge team, a suburb of New Orleans, began its offensive breakthrough in the fifth inning with four runs on four hits.
Marshall Louque had three hits for the club representing the South West region, including a pair of doubles that led in three innings.

Louisiana's Reece Roussel also scored twice as RBI. Before Sunday, he was 15 years old for 20 years in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where the LLWS takes place each year.
Curacao charged the bases with one at the top of the third, but two quick exits left them nothing.
Prather launched a full game by throwing 88 shots in six innings. He won two wins and eliminated 19 batters in 14 1/3 of the tournament.
With the win, the East Bank team from Jefferson Parish became the first team in Louisiana to win the championship. Sunday's win brought another consecutive win for the United States, the first since 2009, when a team from Chula Vista, Calif., Ended a run of five consecutive championships for the United States.

The Louisiana team found their way back into the tournament after losing their first match against Hawaii.
He became the first team to win the tournament after losing his first match since the LLWS was extended to 16 teams in 2001.
