Allianz SE said profits could be significantly affected by a US Department of Justice investigation into its Structured Alpha Fund, which faces a dozen loss suits at the start of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
Europe’s largest insurer said it is cooperating with the DOJ and the Securities and Exchange Commission, which launched an investigation last year. He has also started his own examination of the matter.
