This year, we learned that nearly 250 retailers would join the fray and that some were trying to change the name of Black Friday. We think that a black Friday is enough in a calendar year, but below are some stores with their own sales. We will highlight some of our favorite rival offers on Monday.
Shop smart
As its name indicates, Prime Day offers are only available to Premium members. You can sign up for Amazon Prime here. There is a free trial of one month, and students can get 6 free months (and a discount), but chances are you are already on board.
Otherwise, be aware that Prime costs about $ 10 per month (if you subscribe each year) and offers a free two-day shipping on many items and access to Prime Video service. There are other benefits, such as free Kindle books, and you can read them all here. If this is not for you, after the sale you will be able to cancel your subscription before the expiration of the 30 day period and you will not be charged. Do not forget to cancel.
There are offers on most of the First Day, but not all are excellent. To determine what constitutes a good deal and what is not, it is beneficial to do some research.
Tip 1: Configure alerts for particular products
If you hope that a particular article will go on sale, there are ways to monitor it. First, install the Amazon Shopping app for iPhone or Android so you can receive instant notifications. Then add the items to your Amazon cart (you can "save for later"). Amazon should inform you if the price changes.

Tip 2: Follow Up on Next Lightning Deals
Lightning Deals can be very stressful. It's so easy to miss them, but if you have time to browse the morning offers, you can follow Lightning's upcoming offers with the help of the Amazon Shopping app. Click on the hamburger icon at the top left, then Today's Deals> Coming soon. You can click the "Watch This Offer" button for any purchase over 10 minutes in order to add it to your "Watch" list. The application should then warn you of the moment Lightning strikes.
Tip 3: Set up an Echo for exclusive Alexa offers
If you have an Echo device, you can set up voice purchases. In the Alexa app on your phone, head to Settings> Accounts and select "Purchase by voice". Once you're ready, just ask, "Alexa, what are my offers for Prime Day?"
