Despite AMD’s 2020 record, it predicts that PS5, Xbox Series X / S and PC chip shortages will last until at least the first half of 2021.As reported by Tom’s Hardware, AMD recently held its earnings call. Q4 2020 and AMD CEO Lisa Su discussed those shortages in response to an investor asking about the extent of supply constraints due to growth and the COVID-19 pandemic.
While AMD has seen “a big increase in revenues” in its operations, Su mentioned that “aggregate demand has exceeded our planning”. As a result, there were supply constraints towards the end of the year in the PC market, low-end PCs, and gaming markets.
