Americans must help each other | News, Sports, Jobs

To the editor of the Journal:

Autumn is in the air. It’s time to enjoy the colorful leaves and not have to worry about bugs and the hot, humid weather. Nice to have a change.

Let’s also hope that the people of our United States will try to help and care for each other. Otherwise, it will not be pleasant in the days to come. At almost 82 years old, I am happy to have lived in a time when most of us helped and cared for each other. It wasn’t about who had more stuff or money but just the love that was displayed to make life more enjoyable which means more happiness and not all the bad news we hear every day: people getting killed, others who don’t want to work, or just think nurses and doctors who are overworked have to change or the suffering will continue or be worse.

But on the one hand, I continue to carry the message of true hope is that having the Lord in your life and the spiritual path is the way not to be depressed. Jesus said entrust your will and your life to me and you will have peace in this troubled world of ours. It’s true. I can tell. So, one day at a time, some prayers to God will surely help people work together and help us have better days ahead, even in our difficult days that we all face in our lives.

God’s blessings to all.
