An arrest warrant has been issued in Alabama for DeMarcus Cousins According to a police officer, he made a threatening phone call to his child's mother.
"A warrant for arrest has been launched," said a spokesman for the mobile police service. says USA Today.
According to the MPD's website, Cousins faces a charge of domestic violence – harassing third-degree communications, a crime.
The charge is punishable by a maximum sentence of one year behind bars.
TMZ Sports broke the story … ex-girlfriend of the NBA star, Cristy West, told the police that she had recorded a phone call with Cousins in which he threatened "put a bullet in the head" if she did not let their 7 year old attend his wedding.

West lives in Alabama and the wedding took place in Atlanta.
During the call, West told Cousins that she would not allow the child to attend – although she did not explain it. Why.
In court documents filed by West, she claims that cousins had strangled her in a previous incident – but she did not specify.
As for Cousins, the star of the Los Angeles Lakers – who suffered from an ACL tear earlier this month – did not comment on the charges.
The NBA says it's reviewing the allegations.
Calls to cousin representatives have not been returned.
