BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Actor John Payne will play the life of the famous author of the “Chronicles of Narnia” on his show “An Evening with CS Lewis”.
The two-act show takes place Friday night at SKyPAC tonight at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets available tonight are $ 50.
The show takes place at Lewis’s house outside of Oxford in 1963, when a group of American writers come to question him about his life.
Lewis remembers his friendship with JRR Tolkien, why he almost gave up on The Chronicles of Narnia series, how he came to embrace Christianity and more.
Payne said the show is filled with ups and downs, and there will be a post-show session for questions.
“People who come will probably be surprised at how much they actually laugh, because CS Lewis had a great sense of humor. They might also shed a tear when he talks about his wife and how he coped with her death after his death from bone cancer, ”Payne said.
For those who are in Nashville this weekend, the show will take place tomorrow at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
People can buy tickets here.
